Nerdy News! [2016]

Sorry for the lack of updates! Between the Easter break and things being a little crazy in the real world, I haven’t been able to do much photo editing. Anyway, I do have some nerdy news to tell you about, so let’s get to it!

First of all, today is Beverly Cleary’s 100th birthday! Only a handful of things can be considered foundational to The Beginning Story, and the world of Beverly Cleary is one of them! Before 24, before anime, before Star Trek… maybe even before Disney, there were Ramona Quimby, Henry Huggins, and Ralph S. Mouse. As a kid I loved reading these books and as a grown-up I’ve been able to collect almost all of them and re-read most of them. Happy birthday to a living legend who has ignited the imaginations of generations of youngsters everywhere!

I’m a huge 24 fan, so much so that more than one reference to it shows up in Looking for Miku. Well, recently, I was invited to check out 24: Legacy‘s new CTU set by none other than Miku‘s very own producer! It was a closed set, so no photos were allowed except this one. Still, it was awesome being able to stand on the floor and see how the magic happens. As an added bonus, Castle was shooting down the street so I was able to meet our producer’s long-time friend Jon Huertas. Such an exciting night!

Finally, while we’re talking about Looking for Miku, I was excited to hear that one of our stars, Jacklyn Chung-Young, was featured in this Geico commercial! So happy that she booked this national commercial, and looking forward to seeing her do great things!
