Tokyo Status Farewell Midnight Shinigami: Part II [2015]

Here is the second act from Tokyo Status Farewell Midnight Shinigami, Lolita Dark!

Lolita Dark is an awesome J-rock-influenced American rock band that just got signed to a five-year contract.

Frontwoman Rayko Dig is also the creator and organizer of Tokyo Status. She has two other music groups that she’s a part of, so you can imagine how busy she must be!

Like Nakitora and its drummer Andy, Lolita Dark is also directly connected to Midnight Shinigami through alumna K-Lu on keyboard and vocals.

Poor K-Lu was awash in some terribad blue lighting the entire show, so pretty much all of her shots required the black and white trick. 😦 While using it for this album, I (finally?) noticed how badly Photoshop’s built-in filter destroyed my shots (which don’t need any additional destroying) so I’m trying out a new, much better plug-in. At least it looks better to me!

Still no excuse for the inconsistent color correction, though; I edited on desktop this time and still managed to have problems. >< One day I'll figure it out!

Tokyo Status copilot Jesus rocks out with (I believe) Baron von Velveteen of The Velveteen Band.

I love the neon strings on Rain’s bass!

It’s usually hard to get clear shots of Joey drumming in the back, but I had direct line of sight this time!

Always a challenge to get a clear shot of Patrick’s face, though!

Lolita Dark always puts on an awesome show and you should definitely check them out if you get the chance!

See the full album on my Fan Page on Facebook and be sure to Like The Vault on Facebook, where I’m finally caught up through 2010! 😀
